De Rossi: I only want to stay here

'Heard Nothing'

Roma hardman Daniele De Rossi has qaushed the link taking him to Arsenal this morning by telling the press that he only has eyes for the Roman outfit.

Reports in both the Italian and English press had claimed Arsenal were preparing a £35m bid for De Rossi, after negotiations between team-mate Alberto Aquilani and Liverpool were confirmed.
"Arsenal? I have not heard anything, Roma have said I am not for sale. I only want to stay here."
However De Rossi claimed he would only ever consider leaving his boyhood club if they wanted to sell him.
"Obviously things would change if Roma wanted to sell me, but they have always wanted to keep me."
Roma Troubles
Roma are currently having financial problems at the moment after a longwinded takeover bid ended in failure.
This has led to conversations between the board about earning money through sales of players and after their failure to qualify for the Champions League, they have already lost a lot of income.

Klaas-Jan linked in £18.5m Gunners move

SkySports News today revealed that Real Madrid are in contact with Arsenal over the availability of Dutch forward Klaas-Jan Huntelaar after manager Manuel Pellegrini deemed him as unneeded to 'Los Blancos'.
The former Ajax favourite only moved to Real in January last season but has found it hard to win over the expectant Madrid fans and secure a place in the squad, but still manged to score an impressive 8 goals in only 20 appearances.

However the Madrid outfit are causing a problem from their valuation of the player which at the moment is around €20m (£18.5m). Whether or not a fee can be agreed remains to be seen but this proven goalscorer could be set to complete his 'dream move' to the Premier League this summer.

Gunners Exodus as the 'Last of the Invincibles' Completes £16m Manchester City Move

"We don’t want to have to rebuild again, so I want to keep all the players together for next season. I don’t want to lose anyone"

These were the words given from Arsene no less than a month ago. Since that time we have seen the arrival of the little known Belgium defender Thomas Vermaelen from Ajax for a fee of around £10m, but Wengers promise was very short lived.
When Vermaelen arrived i was interested to see that he is infact only 1.82m tall, much like that of Kolo Toure who stands at 1.83m. This small fact was to be a major hint at what news was coming to the Gunners.
First came the long anticipated departure of outcast Emmanuel Adebayor to Manchester City, much to the delight of Arsenal fans after the transfer was completed for a fee of £25m, compared to the fans valuation of around '£25'. However what was to follow was a shock realisation of the problems occuring within the club.
At 5.20pm today the move taking Arsenal legend Kolo Toure to the Eastlands club was completed and this saw the end of an 8 year career with the Gunners. Toure has signed a four-year deal after Arsenal accepted a bid of £16m from the 'Sky Blues' on Monday.
Arsenal fans will now be anxiously waiting to see if Arsene will replace the two Arsenal starters with names such as Klaas-Jan Huntelaar from Real Madrid and Bordeaux frontman Marouane Chamakh. Whereas even though Vermaelen is available Brede Hangeland is still being tipped for the no5 role at the Emirates.
